Gordon Wyatt and David Freeman, designers of the renowned Fisher Class of motor sailers,
have excelled themselves with the Yarmouth 23. She is an exceptionally strong, superbly
finished, long keeled, traditional gaff-
The gaff rig with a bowsprit lets you fly plenty of sail while keeping the centre of effort low, and the cutter rig provides a choice of sail combinations to suit the conditions. Performing well downwind and to windward, and the top sail, while looking pretty, also gives a welcome boost in light airs.
All controls are led aft to a roomy and sheltered cockpit, and the deep bow well provides safety and comfort for crew working forward. Jib and staysail are both furling, while the main is slab reefed with lazy jacks, the boom coming to rest on a clever stainless steel boom crutch system.

Below, the Yarmouth 23 has been described as something of a ‘Tardis’, with an amazingly roomy layout, over 6ft of headroom beneath the main hatch, 4 good berths, separate heads and forecabin and a moveable table for dining inside and out.
The finish throughout is superb, a beautiful gloss hull, in a range of colours, and the woodwork, all finished to a standard that only the Sri Lankan boat builders are able to achieve.
